What kind of mineral salt is 눈결소금 (Nungyeol Sogeum)?

The black label at the bottom of the container reads ‘눈결 소금’. This is the trademark printed on the packaging of our 200g lava seawater mineral salt. The product name is ‘제주미네랄솔트 용암해수 미네랄소금 미네랄솔트 소금물 소금차 소금답례품 200g’, and the ingredient label reads ‘제주용암해수 100%’ (100% Jeju lava seawater).
Why there appear to be two names
‘제주미네랄솔트’ is our business name and a product name, while ‘눈결소금’ is the trademark on that product's packaging. We registered the 제주미네랄솔트 trademark in April 2015. In October 2024, ‘눈결소금’ received the Korean Intellectual Property Office's ‘우리말 우수 상표’ award, which recognizes outstanding Korean-language trademarks.
The award recognizes a name that makes good use of the Korean language; it is not certification of the salt's composition or safety. We present it as part of the product name's history.
What size and packaging does it come in?
The net content is 200g. The salt comes in a white dol hareubang-shaped container enclosed in a clear case. Its origin is domestic (Jeju, Korea), and its food category is ‘other salt’. A separate sister product, the 150g ‘제주미네랄솔트’, comes in a blue pouch.
These are different products with different containers and packaging, rather than simply two sizes containing different amounts of the same salt. Please check each product's label when choosing.
There is a single ingredient declaration
‘제주용암해수 100%’ (100% Jeju lava seawater), shown under ingredients and their content, tells you what the product is made from. It does not mean that any one mineral accounts for 100%. ‘Other salt’ is likewise the product's food category, not a quality grade.
The manufacturer is our company, 제주미네랄솔트 (Jeju Mineral Salt), at 2706-32 Iljudong-ro, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The product report number is 202006216891.
Close tightly after opening
The packaging lists these materials: outer packaging PP, inner packaging paper and PE, and container PET. The manufacturing date is shown separately. Storage instructions are simple: avoid humid places and always keep the package sealed after opening.
