Lava seawater is exceptionally rich in minerals and nutrient salts, and is almost free of organic matter and pathogens — a groundwater resource unique to Jeju.

The seawater of Jeju, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, is naturally filtered by basalt. Rich in minerals and nutrient salts and free of organic matter and pathogens, it is a clean water resource found only in Jeju.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Contaminants shut out,
minerals kept in balance

Clean water quality through basalt — nature's own filter — and a temperature-controlled process with no mineral loss: contaminants are shut out and the minerals are preserved in balance.

WATER INTAKE

    Water intake

    We draw source lava seawater safely at a food-licensed facility administered by Jeju Province.

  2. 02

    Concentration

    From the source water we remove only the moisture, concentrating the minerals into a high-strength brine.

  3. 03

    Salt making

    In the salt room the concentrate is finely atomised, and at a temperature that does not destroy the minerals only the moisture evaporates, crystallising the minerals as they are.

  4. 04

    Drying

    The crystallised salt is dried carefully for 24 hours.

  5. 05

    Sorting

    Of the salt produced, only what passes strict criteria is selected.

  6. 06

    Packing

    Before packing, a metal-detector check confirms safety; the salt is then filled into containers and packed.

Under a precise temperature-control method that does not destroy the minerals, only the moisture of the lava seawater is evaporated and the core mineral content is condensed.
