LAVA SEAWATER
Lava seawater is exceptionally rich in minerals and nutrient salts, and is almost free of organic matter and pathogens — a groundwater resource unique to Jeju.
The seawater of Jeju, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, is naturally filtered by basalt. Rich in minerals and nutrient salts and free of organic matter and pathogens, it is a clean water resource found only in Jeju.

MINERALS
Having seeped underground on land through volcanic rock strata, lava seawater contains minerals useful to the human body (Zn, V, Ge). It also contains functional minerals such as magnesium and calcium, which gives it high industrial value.

A food-licensed facility administered by Jeju Province
We draw source lava seawater safely at a food-licensed facility administered by Jeju Province.
From the source water we remove only the moisture, concentrating the minerals into a high-strength brine.
In the salt room the concentrate is finely atomised, and at a temperature that does not destroy the minerals only the moisture evaporates, crystallising the minerals as they are.
The crystallised salt is dried carefully for 24 hours.
Of the salt produced, only what passes strict criteria is selected.
Before packing, a metal-detector check confirms safety; the salt is then filled into containers and packed.
Under a precise temperature-control method that does not destroy the minerals, only the moisture of the lava seawater is evaporated and the core mineral content is condensed.
PRODUCT
Even for the same salt, where and in what conditions it was made means that taste and quality differ greatly. Our salt does not use seawater directly: saline groundwater — lava seawater — is 100% of the raw material.
