How Jeju lava seawater becomes salt
We spray concentrated lava seawater like a mist. As the moisture evaporates, salt crystals form. This is the salt-making stage of our production process. From preparing the water to filling the containers, our salt goes through six stages.

First, we prepare the water
We draw raw lava seawater at a food-licensed facility administered by Jeju Province. Drawing the water means bringing in the water that will become the raw material. We then remove only moisture from this raw water to produce a highly concentrated liquid with concentrated minerals.
We cannot yet disclose how long concentration takes or how many times the water is concentrated. What we can describe here is the sequence of reducing moisture in the raw water to make the concentrate.

Crystals form from droplets
In the salt-making room, we finely spray the concentrate and evaporate only moisture to crystallize the minerals. This is the stage in which we obtain salt.
Using precise temperature control to prevent mineral destruction, we evaporate only the moisture in lava seawater and concentrate its key minerals. The process excludes high-temperature heating and refining, retaining the minerals in the salt intact.
We do not package the crystals immediately
We carefully dry the crystallized salt for 24 hours. After drying, we select only salt that passes strict standards. The salt is not put into containers as soon as it is made.
Before packaging, the selected salt passes through a metal detector. We then fill and package the containers. Metal detection is the inspection stage immediately before this final packaging step.
The six stages in one line
Water intake, concentration, salt formation, drying, selection and packaging. Clean water filtered through basalt and a temperature-controlled process without mineral loss block contaminants and preserve minerals in balance.
Our salt-making process takes water from underground through salt crystallization, drying and selection, all the way to filling the containers.
