What does Jeju lava seawater contain?
As seawater passes through basalt over a long period, some things are filtered out and others remain. The lava seawater we use to make salt is such water. Here is what we can currently tell you about what it contains.

Components identified in the water
Lava seawater that has seeped underground on land through volcanic rock layers contains the minerals Zn, V and Ge: zinc, vanadium and germanium. It also contains minerals including magnesium and calcium.
For the finished salt, we introduce calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium. We discuss the source water and the finished salt separately.

We cannot yet provide the amounts
The components have been identified by name, but we cannot yet give figures for the amount of each one. When we can provide those figures, we will post them here as well.
Information about testing documents
Tests for general bacteria and E. coli, microplastics, and heavy metals. We hold the test reports. These do not tell you how much of each component is present, but they cover items that need to be checked for edible salt.
If you need testing documents, please tell us which items you want to know about. Each report has a scope of use set by its issuing organization, and we will provide information within that scope.
The path taken by our raw material
We use 100% Jeju lava seawater as our raw material.
Seawater is naturally filtered as it passes through basalt. We use underground lava seawater separated from farmland as our raw material. This underground lava seawater is also separated from surface seawater.
