We make salt by spraying water into a mist
When concentrated lava seawater is sprayed into a fine mist, only the moisture evaporates from the droplets, leaving minerals behind. This is the stage we call salt formation.

When concentrated lava seawater is sprayed very finely, only the moisture evaporates from the droplets, leaving minerals behind. This is the stage we call salt formation. It differs from boiling water down, so salt forms in a different way.
How is the water divided into droplets?
We finely spray the concentrate in the salt-making room. Fine spraying means breaking the water into small droplets like mist. We then evaporate only the moisture to crystallize the minerals.
Using precise temperature control to prevent mineral destruction, we evaporate only the moisture in lava seawater and concentrate its key minerals. Clean water filtered through basalt and a temperature-controlled process without mineral loss block contaminants and preserve minerals in balance.

We have a patent registered for this method
It is ‘용암해수로부터 미네랄소금을 제조하는 장치 및 방법’, registered in January 2014. The title means equipment and a method for producing mineral salt from lava seawater. It is patent No. 10-1352754, and the patent certificate bears the same title.
The title of the earliest patent, registered in 2012, also includes ‘공중에서 순간적으로 결정화시킨 후’, meaning ‘after instant crystallization in the air’. It is patent No. 10-1113348. The approach of dispersing water in the air to obtain crystals was there from the beginning.
What is the temperature?
We control the temperature and evaporate moisture to form salt crystals. We cannot yet disclose the specific temperature setting. The key point of this method is that the process excludes high-temperature heating and refining.
Are the salt grains just as small?
Fine spraying names the stage in which the concentrate is divided into droplets; it does not describe the size of the finished salt grains. The features we highlight for our salt are mineral retention, absence of bitterness, versatility in cooking and umami.
The process to picture is simple: we spray the concentrate like mist and obtain salt crystals from those droplets.
